The SMAC martial arts program is a blend of traditional and cutting edge martial arts. It is essentially a two-fold program. Half of the program consists of the FULL study of taekwondo, a Korean martial art that translates as “the way of the foot and hand”, while the other half is a “sprinkling” of boxing, muay thai, judo, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and hapkido in an effort to expose the students to other martial arts (available at SMAC) and self defense skills. The goal is to develop both mind and body. The training in this program will provide the participant with the behavioral skills associated with traditional martial arts (modesty, integrity, perseverance, patience, self control, indomitable spirit) as well as real world self defense. Classes are available for children and adults.
